Linkin Park's Lead Singer Chester Bennington Commits Suicide Aged 41

The lead singer of the U.S rock band Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, has died aged 41 after committing suicide.
Bennington was found hanging dead in his home on Thursday, the Rolling Stone reported.
“Shortly after 9 a.m. this morning, we were notified by law enforcement of a death in Palos Verdes Estates,” Brian Elias, chief of operations for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, tells Rolling Stone.
“We responded to the scene and unfortunately confirmed that Mr. Chester Bennington was deceased at the scene.”
Bennington was lead singer for the Grammy Award winning band Linkin Park alongside Mike Shinonda. The group sold millions of records in their career and have been certified Diamond by the RIAA. They also have two Grammy Awards to their names.

In 2004, the group become cult figures across genres when they collaborated with Jay-Z on to mash up one of their greatest hits with one of his. The resulting Numb/Encore song was certified Platinum and was one of the songs of that year.
